Richard is the son of our Chablis producer and has branched out on his own by buying a wonderful vineyard in Moulin a Vent, at the heart of the Beaujolais Crus. 2009 was a stunning vintage in this area and his Moulin a Vent is produced from vines which are 40 to 80 years old, thus giving tiny yields of high quality grapes. Soft, medium-bodied and full of wild strawberry fruit flavours, this is a very elegant drop, ready to drink now, but with 5 good years of cellaring potential. Ideal for lighter meat dishes, cured hams and charcuterie and classic French cheeses.
