New World Viognier can be very cloying. Fortunately, this great Australian example is sourced from the cooler areas of McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills and therefore has beautiful acidity and freshness. This helps give a delicate and mineral finish to the apricot spiciness of the mid palate. A great drop on its own and a really good foil for spicy food.
